3D OCT saves sight of staff member

3D OCT saves sight of staff member.

Gail who started with me aged 16 in 1974 still helps us on 'extreme days' when short staffed.

Thursday 24th February was an 'extreme day' especially for Gail. She just happened to say she had noticed 'floaty vision' in her right eye recently. The IMAGEnet Retinal camera picture showed a completely normal retina
BUT ...............we did a precautionary 3D OCT scan and as a result of our findings she had an operation for a detached retina 24 hours later!!

SIGHT SAVED!

Just another person whose sight we've saved because we've invested £70,000 in the 3D Ocular Coherence Tomographer.

This is just one example of why a 3D Scan is vital for everyone at least once a year - more often if there is a family history of any eye disease so we can diagnose disease whilst still treatable.

We are happy to offer a 3D Scan to family or friends even if not our patients.
